Receptionist/Administrative Assistant (Term time)
£16,547 pro rata

Based in the Student Counselling Service, you will provide a high quality and friendly service for students, and will help to ensure the efficient running of the reception area. As the first point of contact for all users of the service, you will receive incoming enquiries from students and staff in person and by phone. You will therefore need considerable tact and discretion, to be both sympathetic and level-headed with distressed students and be able to demonstrate a calm and helpful manner at all times.

You will have good organisational skills, and be able to prioritise and work under pressure with frequent interruptions, together with a strong sense of the importance of confidentiality. You will also have good general administration skills including the use of Access databases, Word, Excel and e-mail, with particular reference to accuracy. This post will be for 25 hours per week over five days, 30 weeks per year.

For informal enquiries please contact Ms J Cobban on (0117) 954 6655 or e-mail jackie.cobban@bristol.ac.uk
