We place both qualified and unqualified staff of an exceptional standard all of whom are provided with 24 hour management support.
Current Opportunity
We are currently seeking applicants who have at least one year`s experience of working with people with learning disabilities and have worked in `person centred` and creative ways to empower people to get more of what they want out of life.
We are seeking both full time and part time staff from the Bristol and BANES area to support a number of busy residential units for adults with learning disabilities, there would be some level of personal care involved.
A commitment to the care and well being of the service users is essential.
Experience
At least one year’s recent experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
Experience of working in a community based residential service.
Experience of leading and supporting group and individual activities that promote independence in the following; personal care, social skills, leisure and educational opportunities with an emphasis on community integration.
Knowledge
An understanding of and commitment to:
• The issues facing people with disabilities
• Equality and Diversity in service delivery
• Ordinary life principles
