Specialist housing providers in the Bristol area are seeking a number of Outreach Workers to provide a high quality service to women and their children who have experienced domestic violence and are living in hostel accommodation.
Many of the projects provide refuge accommodation, support groups, training/consultancy, outreach and befriending, advice information and advocacy, transport facilities, childcare, aftercare and resettlement.
This role will involve outreach work, providing drop-ins and surgeries, developing awareness of domestic abuse and undertaking casework with women. You will be responsible for providing emotional and practical support to women from all backgrounds that are fleeing domestic violence.
This role could require candidates who can speak any African languages, French, Polish, or British Sign Language.
To apply for this role you will have worked within a supported housing environment and have experience of providing outreach support to women who have fled domestic violence.
A current CRB Enhanced Disclosure is a requirement in order to apply for this position.
Any mandatory training required by the customer will be provided.
