| This exiting new start up company is looking for a pricing analyst to join its new venture. Based at Parkway, you will be a key member of the finance team. You will work with the company's individual project teams and external advisers on financial aspects of the development, competition and implementation of new flight training facilities under the Ministry of Defence’s (MOD) strategic partnering PPP contract, UKMFTS. Your main duties will include the following; -Work with project teams to prepare business cases for submission to MoD and prepare Invitation to Tender documentation (financial aspects) in conjunction with the Commercial team. -Liaise with external advisers of specialist financial and legal support. -Provide financial modelling support and assist senior management with control and delivery of high quality information and analysis of individual projects. -Provide accurate and effective management information as required. -Assist in analysis and commentary on the performance of contracts (both implemented and being conceived) for inclusion in the Finance monthly report. -Produce ad-hoc forecasts and revised budgets and monitor performance to such budgets. Provide financial support in the preparation of costing and pricing documents for contract extensions, and new contract opportunities Additional Responsibilities • To provide flexible support to the company's finance team to fulfil other monthly shareholder and bank reporting & billing requirements. Knowledge and Experience • Degree or equivalent professional qualification • 3 years Financial modelling and Consultancy in the PFI/PPP sector • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modelling for project financed vehicles Personal Specification • Excellent interpersonal and social skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels. • Able to operate Excel to an advanced level including the development of financial models. • Able to identify and explain key variances and their drivers. • Able to communicate across functions and deliver financial planning processes. • Able to analyse and interpret high volumes of complex data. • Able to produce and present concise reports including graphical and narrative content. • Able to identify incipient or existing problems and exercise creativity in remedying them. • Ability to work well as a team |
