| Trainee Mechanical Engineer, Bristol, Building Services (M&E) Are you currently working in the Building Services industry and want to progress into an engineers role? Whether you are working on the tools or in an office based environment within Building Services my client would be interested in talking to you. Our client is a regional mechanical contractor who deal in heating, ventilation and air conditioning services within the Building Services industry and who are one of the UK's market leaders. With 3 regional offices their business is expanding across the company business mix. Their business consists of; building and air conditioning services (maintenance), design and installation and potable air conditioning for hire / sale. The design and installation division are seeking trainee mechanical engineer. The successful candidate will attend college on a day release program to study building services at ONC and HNC level. As well as attending college and learning the theory, in the office you will put learning into practice and carry out a range of duties assisted by a dedicated team of mentors. Duties will include; Design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems Computer Aided Design (CAD) Estimating Surveying Contract management Site visits Meeting and liaising with clients and suppliers Currently the client is involved in a wide range of different projects, including; Projects on the high street Refurbishment of the Aardman Building (home of Wallace and Gromit), Bristol Refurbishment of The Thistle Hotel on Broad Street, Bristol. This project involved refurbishment of the 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th floor bedrooms as well as refurbishment of the Wessex suite and the ballroom. Applicants should already be working in the Building Services industry with a mechanical bias. You may be currently working on the tools providing installation for heating ventilation or air conditioning or you may be office based as an M&E CAD technician, trainee design engineer, trainee estimator of trainee quantity surveyor, what ever your Building Services background as long as you are committed to furthering and developing your career as an engineer your application is welcome. If you already have a qualification in Building Services it would be an advantage as would some capability in AutoCAD, if not, as long as you roughly know your way around piping duct work, heating systems and air conditioning training will be provided.
