| Technical Support Engineer Salary: £30,000 Overview Leading supplier in Power Systems and solutions providing services to the Defence, Banking, Communications, Aviation and Healthcare industries. The company are part of a privately owned multinational group with a turnover exceeding 500M and more than 2000 employees. An immediate vacancy has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support to the Engineering Department and extensive prestigious customer base. Responsibilities The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the Engineering department, its internal & external customers. The technical support engineer is also responsible for quoting small project works and hire UPS. A key part of the role is to improve the Service Delivery of the Engineering Department. Form part of an out of hours escalation process providing technical assistance for the field service team. Ensure field based product related needs are addressed remotely or by site visits. Co-ordinate with the European factory to ensure timely information exchange of all products such as site problems. Maintain communication with the Service Manager to ensure awareness of all. Perform equipment training courses as and when required. Provide quotations in a timely manner for any small projects / hire UPS requirements identified by the engineering, sales, projects teams or customer request. Manage Small Projects from order to completion. Produces clear work instructions, method statements, risk assessments etc. Skills, Qualifications and Experience The successful candidate must have a HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, experience in power electronics and LV electrical installations would also be advantageous. Full Product Training will be provided.
