SECRETARY (Office Manager), Emerson's Green, £18-20k

Our client, a leading construction organisation based in Emersons Green, is seeking an experienced Secretary to play a key part in the successful running of their busy and friendly office. As well as supporting three Managers you will be carrying out office management duties as well as overseeing the work of a Receptionist and two Administrators.

Responsibilities will include:
Provide administration support to the Area Manager & two Contract Managers when they are in the office to include typing, taking minutes and coordinating tenders
Be the first point of contact for all matters relating to the office facilities and services
Manage and maintain all office equipment including negotiating best price deals with service providers
Maintain stationary stock levels, changing toners and cartridges when required
Managing staff expenses
Raising purchase orders, reconciling delivery notes and authorising invoices for payment
Supervising the work of a Receptionist and two Administrators
Ensure relevant fire regulation and health & safety requirements are kept up to date
Keep up to date with any changes and/or amendments to Government Health & Safety and Fire regulations
Organise staff events including the Christmas party

Person specification:
Previous experience in a similar role essential
Strong IT skills essential including the use of Excel spreadsheets and accurate word processing skills
You must be adept at managing a number of tasks at any one time and be able to meet deadlines
You will be a good problem solver, have plenty of initiative and thrive within a challenging working environment
You must be able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally
Most importantly you will be a positive and energetic individual with a can-do, will-do and flexible attitude
