Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer)
Salary: £27k - £30k
Location: London

Overview
Leading supplier in Power Systems and solutions providing services to the Defence, Banking, Communications, Aviation and Healthcare industries. The company are part of a privately owned multinational group with a turnover exceeding 500M and more than 2000 employees worldwide.

The Customer Engineer will provide field service and technical support to customers who have entered into maintenance agreements with the Company. Engineer will also provide technical support to Contracts and Sales functions within the Company.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine preventative maintenance and fault investigation.
Complete the Site Visit Report, fill in (or supervises the filling in of) the Company Checklists for the listed equipment.
Works with others on the carrying out of tasks when a colleague has been appointed lead engineer.
Carry out the commissioning tasks on the equipment manufactured by the Company or by others as listed on a Site Visit Request at the site designated by the SVR and at a time specified by the SVR in accordance with the commissioning procedure.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have a HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, experience in power electronics and LV electrical installations. Full Product Training will be provided.

Have the ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
Computer Literate.
Effective planning & organisational skills.
Ability to take the initiative, overcome resistance, and adopt a can do attitude.
Experience of 400 Volt electrical systems

This position would suit a service engineer with experience in Power Systems, Power Generation, UPS, and Rotational Machinery.

This is a field engineer position based around the London area. The projects are commutable from Oxford, Reading, Slough, Essex, Kent, M25 and M4 corridors.
