Formed in 1978, with headquarters in Forest Row, East
Sussex, the Group comprises Rydon Construction Ltd;
Rydon Homes Ltd, the property development arm of the
Group; Rydon Maintenance Ltd and Ryhurst Ltd, the asset
investment and management arm of the Group.
With four separate operating companies, each specialising
in a different area of the construction industry, the Group is
positioned to take on almost any type of project. A recent
initiative has been the creation of a new regeneration
brand, REAL, through which we are engaged in rebuilding
run-down inner city estates and creating attractive,
sustainable, new urban communities.
Despite the continued growth of the Group and our ability
to tackle increasingly large and challenging projects, we
continue to provide a working environment in which
employees feel respected as individuals and where

This year, following a survey of company employees, Rydon
was officially recognised as a First Class Company to work
for by Best Companies, the independent organisation that
has established itself as a leading authority on measuring
workplace performance and best practice throughout the
country.
In the same period, the company was listed in 164th
position in the Sunday Times Top Track 250, a ranking of
the best performing middle market private companies.
Jointly, these accolades demonstrate Rydon’s ability to
